Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers! At Bayview Dentistry, we are here to answer our community's queries and requests. We’ve compiled some of the most frequently asked questions but if you have any other questions that we missed, contact us and we will be glad to answer them!

How can I make an appointment?

Just give us a call! Our front desk will ask you for some information and get you scheduled in at your earliest convenience.

What should I expect for my first visit?

We will go over your medical history and chief complaint, complete a thorough examination, and gather data using radiographs and other tests in order to create a problem list, diagnose any dental conditions, and treatment plan your case.

If your case requires more extensive treatment, we will send a consultation to a trusted specialist and work with them to monitor your treatment together.

I'm scared of the dentist, will the procedures hurt?

We strive to provide the best dental care while ensuring that the patient is comfortable. We utilize local anesthesia,  administer nitrous oxide, and offer various sedation methods to quell dental anxiety and pain.

Can my children sit in the room if I have an appointment and cannot find childcare?

Yes, we allow children to stay in the room while a parent/guardian is being seen for a dental visit.

At what age should children start seeing the dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that infants start receiving dental check-ups at the age of 6 months or when the first baby teeth start to erupt. We also recommend coming in if you or your pediatrician notice anything regarding developmental changes in the oral/facial areas.
